Description & Requirements

As a Senior Associate in our Outsourced Accounting Services (OAS), you will be a valued member of our team and will build relationships with our outsourcing clients. This position will offer you an excellent opportunity for career advancement in our growing firm. To be successful, you should enjoy finding a solution to problems, possess strong attention to detail, and have a willingness to learn new things.

How you will contribute:

  • Dedicate time to client service while coordinating work for our clients in the following areas:
  • Preparation and review of insurance premium tax returns
  • General ledger and process accounts payable
  • Invoicing
  • Account/bank reconciliations and depreciation schedule preparation
  • Monthly and year-end closing assistance
  • Preparing financial statements
  • Digital accounting outsourcing
  • QuickBooks consulting and assistance with accounting system design
  • Assisting with the training of clients, staff, and other AOS personnel

We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Accounting is preferred, other business degrees or work experience in Government Contracting will be considered
  • Applicants for positions with Forvis Mazars must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures on automated systems
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and accrual-based accounting
  • Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
