Description

Summary/Objective:

The Branch Manager is responsible for selling corporate products or services strategically managing the territory, managing, and working closely with all service operations and sales personnel in their assigned territory/branch. Reach business targets through effective management of designated territories and physical visits to customer sites. This individual will have the capability to analyze customer applications and provide sound technical solutions. The Branch Manager will also develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentation skills are essential for this role. The Branch Manager is responsible for overall Motive Power operations in their assigned territory including the service operation, managing and mentoring sales personnel and driving overall profitability of allocations and territories.

Responsibilities: Develop the strategy for their territory. Maintain outstanding relationships with key lift truck dealers and end users. Develop and prospect new customer accounts to generate increased revenue. Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company product(s)/service(s) while on-site. Analyze customer applications and problems and provide technical solutions. Manage the branch service operations via the Branch Operations Manager coordinating customer service and sales strategies, service technicians and inside customer service/office administration. Work with the company's Director of Service & Safety to implement company processes and standards regarding service operations and safety directives. Mentor, train and manage branch sales representatives, establish quotas and manage performance. Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, and discuss credit terms. Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue stream growth. Ensure proper follow-up by correctly utilizing company CRM System. Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner. Use marketing data using applicable sales management software tools to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness.

Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices, and other documentation. Promptly implement and monitor progress on policy or process changes as directed.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Demonstrated experience managing sales representatives and/or service technicians including assessing and developing sales, presentation and technical skills. Ability to manage personnel, direct a team, coordinate and execute corporate policy and procedures. Ability to manage, coach and mentor sales personnel to execute sales strategies using tools to effectively measure and manage performance. Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas. Professional demeanor, selling style, appearance, integrity, and work ethic. Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers. Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers. Ability to think strategically. Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convincingly persuade others in personal interviews and via telephone. Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures. Ability to work individually and as part of a team. Experience with customer relationship management software. Ability to set goals clearly and effectively. In depth knowledge of forklift battery and charger operation and knowledge of their use in manufacturing, distribution, and other operational environments Job Requirements, Skills, and Abilities High school diploma required; college degree preferred. 8+ years' experience in outside sales capacity 5+ years' experience managing personnel. Experience in material handling equipment required.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

In depth knowledge of forklift battery and charger operation and knowledge of their use in manufacturing, distribution and other operational environments
