**Position Summary**

**Position Summary:**

The Tel-Sell Representative (TSR) is the direct source of Instant ticket sales for the Maryland Lottery. The Tel-Sell Representative is responsible for placing automatic instant lottery ticket orders and contacting assigned Lottery retailers and sales reps, via telephone, or e-mail if needed. The TSR also handles Lottery related questions and/or problems that they may encounter, which results in maximizing sales of tickets through professional and sales techniques.

**Job Functions:**

* Orders for each retailer within assigned call list on a regular cycle to ensure that each retailer has enough inventory on a weekly basis

* Coordinates all activities with Tel-Sell Manager

* Provides information about new and existing games and promotions

* Ability to maintain associated call levels in a fast paced environment

* Maximize the Retailers sales of their instant ticket product through marketing while providing a professional level of customer service

* Access appropriate computer screens and input of sales orders with accuracy

* Maintain a positive working relationship with Lottery retailers and their designees

* Provide regular and consistent feedback from Lottery retailers to management to share retailer suggestions, ideas, and questions in a timely fashion

* Establish and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with District Sales Representatives (DSRs)

* Ability to meet sales and personal goals set by management

* Ability to respond to incoming calls and e-mails from Lottery retailers, while resolving their problems and questions as they relate to the instant ticket product

* Ensure all calls and e-mails from retailers and DSRs receive complete attention and thorough follow-up.

* Ability to comply with all safety rules as designated

* Ability to have a flexible schedule up to and including overtime

* Ability to train new employees, as designated

**Job Level Description**

Demonstrates ability to learn and support several aspects of function. Handles routine activities.

**Position Requirements/Qualifications:**

* High School Diploma or equivalent

**Skills/Abilities:**

* Excellent customer service skills

* Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships

* Maintain a working knowledge of all products offered by the Maryland Lottery.

* Maintain core customer service etiquette

* Ability to maintain satisfactory work performance.

* Ability to work in a team environment

* Ability to communicate with all levels of management and customers

* Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies

* Ability to maintain confidential information

* Ability to work in a team-office environment

* Ability to work remotely from home if needed

* Ability to operate office equipment, but not limited to, personal computer and telephone

* Ability to sit, stand, bend, stretch at a minimum of 50% of the time for any or all of the movements described
