Overview Sr. Project Specialist - Construction (Hybrid Position - Pomona, CA) Looking for a Sr. Project Specialist to perform the following duties at client Pomona office/Hybrid: Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Five (5) or more years combined experience Required: Associate degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Required: 5+ years project support experience Required: 2+ years project management experience Required: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) Required: Advanced skills in Excel, knowledgeable with Pivot Tables Desired Qualifications/Typical Responsibilities Preferred: Experience in Construction Preferred: Electric utility experience Proactive; accomplishes results through own efforts strong interpersonal skills Identifies problems and solutions. Provides input to project objectives, timelines, risks, milestones, deliverables, and budgets Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts among team members and, if needed, escalates to Project Manager Conducts analysis and prepares presentations Exercises independent judgment and discretion to advise and recommend courses of action. Applies advanced in-depth knowledge of project management support principles; understands project life cycle Proactive in addressing project team needs and providing reminders; good communicator, both written and verbally. Will be interacting and coordinating with outside agencies, licensing, and project teams. Obtains project status, updates, and maintains the project tracking database (2 4 large projects) Recognizes verbal cues in meetings (action items, requests, additional meetings to be setup, etc.) Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently Ability to adapt and reprioritize on a day-to-day basis depending on new or existing challenges that may arise Job Type Full-time 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Schedule Monday and Tuesday in Pomona Office, work remote Weds-Fri.
