Job Description

Company Overview:

People power our future. That is why advancing a dynamic, inclusive environment, where everyone grows and thrives is critically important to us.

Our ingenuity fuels daily life. Together, we've forged some of the most trusted partnerships across the energy value chain to make what was once just an idea a reality: laying subsea infrastructure thousands of feet below sea level, installing offshore platforms hundreds of miles from shore, and using our expertise to design and build offshore wind infrastructure.

For more than 100 years, we've been making the impossible possible. Today, we're driving the energy transition with more than 30,000 of the brightest minds across 54 countries.

Here, what you do matters.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead and manage the pre-commissioning scope of work for our offshore pipelay projects. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our subsea projects by coordinating and overseeing pre-commissioning activities to meet industry standards and client requirements.

  • Pre-commissioning Strategy: Develop and implement pre-commissioning strategies and plans for offshore pipelay projects.
  • Scope Management: Oversee the entire pre-commissioning scope of work, ensuring all activities are properly planned, executed, and documented.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that pre-commissioning activities meet industry standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the pre-commissioning phase and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, subsea installation teams, and clients to align pre-commissioning activities with project schedules.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your deep technical knowledge in subsea systems, pipelines, and offshore structures to drive efficient pre-commissioning processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation of pre-commissioning activities for client and regulatory compliance.
  • Safety: Promote and enforce safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all personnel involved in pre-commissioning activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in the pre-commissioning phase.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in subsea pre-commissioning for offshore pipelay projects.
  • Proven experience in leadership and team management.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations related to subsea pre-commissioning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Safety-conscious mindset with a track record of adhering to safety protocols.
  • Professional certifications relevant to subsea engineering and project management are a plus.
  • Should be fluent in written & spoken English, but having an understanding of Spanish & Portuguese will be advantageous.
