About The Role As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer you will help build the recommendation systems for a revolutionary new music discovery platform. Be a part of transforming music consumption with us. What You Will Do Build state-of-the-art recommendation systems from the ground up, all the way through to production. Serve as a technical authority on machine learning and recommendation systems. Collaborate closely with app developers and engineers, and product management to ensure project success. Make critical early-stage decisions in the development process that will set the stage for long-term success. Operate in a fast-paced, startup-like environment to launch a new business within Harman. Work with a high degree of autonomy and ownership. Actively engage with business and product stakeholders in an iterative, dynamic environment. What You Need Experience: 10+ years in machine learning engineering. Technical Skills: Proven experience building production-grade ML systems using Python. Recommendation Systems: Strong experience in building, measuring, and operating recommendation systems. Generative AI: Familiarity with Generative AI technologies. Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with GCP, AWS, and Azure. Deployment Technologies: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Serverless architectures. Backend Architecture: Familiarity with components such as databases, caches, event streaming, queues, and data warehouses. System Operations: Experience in building and operating machine learning systems in both development and production environments. What Is Nice To Have Bachelor's degree in computer science or another related field. A passion for music and interest in working on products that bring joy to music lovers worldwide. Experience deploying machine learning workloads to production. Experience with music information retrieval systems. Experience with content-based recommendation systems.
