Human Resources Assistant

Summary: The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the HR Department.
Time Utilization: This role is entirely performed on-site. Normal business hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate internal and external customer's schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Process employee status changes in HRIS system, including electronic onboarding.
- Assist with new hire onboarding activities such as setting up workstations, preparing conference rooms and creating welcome bags.
- Maintain electronic personnel filing system.
- Complete I-9s, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain I-9 files.
- Provide routine back-up coverage for the Receptionist.
- Place orders for office supplies and maintain an appropriate inventory of office supplies.
- Ensure facility conference rooms are organized, stocked, clean, and present an overall professional appearance.
- Assist with maintaining company fleet vehicles.
- Create monthly Caf PowerPoint slides.
- Assist with special events.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma and three years administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one interactions.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percentages.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in routine situations where standardization predominately exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. Working knowledge of HRIS systems preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
Current valid driver's license for travel as required by position.

The associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
