role as an
Onsite Contract Specialist
in
Chicago, IL
will be responsible for interpreting health benefits and preparing member facing booklets and policies to align with extraterritorial statutory requirements, corporate guidelines, underwriting policy, benefit specifications. Implements account and legislative initiatives (of high complexity), monitors compliance and conformity of implementations. Work with all business areas that impact the client experience while planning the implementation, developing the business cases, and actively driving the identification of opportunities for improving efficiencies and process within the implementation experience and implementing those solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience and familiarity with reviewing statutes and regulations, drafting member facing booklets and filing with State Insurance Regulators.
Responsibilities:
Draft and file with Department of Insurance regulators, standard and/or non-standard language for all product lines; including extra territorial legislation.
Support implementation activities of draft member facing benefit documents. Implementation support includes, but not limited to, coordination of SME and legal reviews/comments, filing with our regulators, tracking and monitoring approvals of filings, managing objections, and delivering final approved documents to internal stakeholders.
Work in accordance to set timelines, tracking and reporting progression of work.
Contribute to quality control initiatives to meet departmental standards.
Consult, communicate and interact professionally and effectively with co-workers, management, and stakeholders.
Requirements :
Bachelor degree and knowledge of health care regulatory and legislative process
