A key Z Firm client is looking for a Market Risk Manager with strong quantitative and programming skills.
Responsibilities:
Controlling, reporting, and making recommendations on risk exposures are central to this position
Market Risk support of trading activities for the oil derivatives trading desks
Monitoring and reporting market risks to traders and senior management
Daily production of risk report (position, profit and loss, profit and loss attribution, daily Value at Risk (VAR), weekly Stress Scenarios)
Communicate portfolio risks, recent historical market movements and trends and their impact on the desk’s P&L to senior management globally
Work closely with the front desk and fundamentals research on understanding of market conditions and magnitude/probability of potential adverse effects
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in business, finance, economics, etc.
5+ years of experience in market risk management for oil derivatives
Expertise using Excel VBA a must, Python (preferred)
Good understanding of Market Risk tools including VAR analysis, stress testing, and scenario analysis
