Position Title: Sr Azure DevOps Engineer

Location: Fully Remote

Job Type: Contract and Remote

Pay Range: $60/hr. - 65$/hr.

Requirements:

Typical Day in the Role:

* Purpose of the Team: The purpose of the Cloud Engineering team for Xbox Game Studios Publishing is to publishing builds first party games like Flight Simulator primarily through third party game studios.

* Key projects: This role will contribute to are Tower borne, Ara, history untold, flight simulator

* Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of the following,

10-20% meetings

80% - heads down building out platform; with in Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Azure, and Terraform.

Candidate Requirements:

  • We're looking for a Platform/Infrastructure/DevOps engineer to work primarily on cloud security-related problems, transitioning over time to help build our platform and automation.
  • Years of Experience Required: 8-10 overall years of experience in the field.
  • 8-10 years of experience, preferably in a gaming or cloud services environment.
  • Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field degree is preferred to be eligible for this role.
  • Disqualifiers: Candidates with someone who has only worked on just one portion of code and is not familiar with helm, terra form, azure will not be eligible for the role.

    Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience:

    1. Minimum 2-3 years' experience with demonstrated capability of building/ writing helm chart, Kubernetes experience

    2. Minimum 2-3 years' experience with writing terraform

    3. Minimum 2-3 years' experience with Azure

    Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain security best practices to ensure the integrity and protection of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
  • Design, build, and maintain Azure DevOps Pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes on Azure.
  • Provision and manage Azure cloud resources using Terraform scripts.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, cost, and security of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

    Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Azure, and Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
  • Familiarity with Git.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
