Job Summary

The Guest Services Coordinator will be a detailed-oriented person with a heart to serve at Cornerstone Chapel. They will create a welcoming environment and should display a warm-hearted attitude toward their role and the congregants. This candidates attitude towards customer service should be to always go above and beyond guests expectations. They will develop and implement an unparalleled first impression for guest attending our services or events. They should be able to work efficiently in a changing environment and remain relaxed in any stressful situation. They will also serve alongside the Events Team to support various ministry events. This individual will demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit in all interactions with congregants, volunteers, and staff.

Performance Dimensions and Tasks

* Administrative Support

+ Effectively communicates with Manager concerning any needs, issues, or concerns

+ Develops a Guest Services experience for all services and events

+ Manages welcome centers

+ Trains, schedules, and oversees greeters

+ Works alongside with reception team

+ Answers questions about Cornerstone and follow up with guests when necessary

+ Ensures that all guests are responded to in a timely manner and are not left without an answer

+ Serves as a liaison between ministries and new guests

+ Oversees funeral receptions at Cornerstone Chapel

+ Assists with set up and tear down for ministry events

+ Attends Events Team planning meetings

+ Collects credit card receipts and expense and submits to manager and accounting for approval and processing using Concur financial management system

+ Prepares documents, reports, letters, expense statements, and other documents using Office 365 Word processing, Excel spreadsheets, or PowerPoint presentation software

+ Creates, maintains, and enters information into FellowshipOne database

Job Specifications

* Age: Minimum age of 18 required; Minimum age of 21 preferred

* Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree preferred

* Experience: 2 years of experience in event management or customer service role preferred

* Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Suite

* Skills/Abilities : Quick learner; Public relations; Interpersonal; Communication; Problem-solving abilities

* Other Characteristics: Patient; Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job; Teachable spirit; Completes tasks in a timely manner
