GENERAL SUMMARY The L&D Specialist is responsible for project oversight and daily administration of the L&D Department. This position works under the direction of the Organizational Development Manager and provides support in meeting business goals by coordinating, leading, collaborating, and facilitating various special projects and initiatives within the L&D department. The Specialist must be highly organized, well versed in technology, and have a demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively across a wide diversity of stakeholders.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to guest service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Support the rollout of L&D inititaives across the organization. • Build and maintain collaborative business relationships within the HR division and acoss the organization. • Oversee the L&D Onboarding Pragram including the delivery of New Hire Orientation. • Develop methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data related to L&D programs. • Design and deliver in person training sessions on a variety of topics. • Design and deploy online learning content and resources. • Support the launch of leadership and career pathing initiatives. • Support organizational compliance and mandatory training across the organization. • Prepare and maintain internal and external reports as requested. • Assist with or prepare L&D reports as requested, and perform other clerical duties as required. • Project management of small scale projects as assigned. • Other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Incumbent is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC and for maintaining and providing a positive and professional work environment. ________________________________________ QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES ________________________________________

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Internship and/or three (3) years of experience in Learning and Development, Human Resources, or Business Administration, or a combination of each.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other Team Members.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, and ability to multiply and divide by 10 and 100. Ability to perform these operations using units of U.S. currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to use reasoning and understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions. Ability to solve problems while remaining flexible and adaptable to help ensure the desired outcome.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class “A” gaming license.

SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills. • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and desire to establish and maintain the highest standards. • Excellent understanding of Human Resources principles, practices, and procedures. • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills. • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws involving employment, HR, and HR policies. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software. • Ability to develop and maintain networks and relationships. • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders. • Attend required department meetings. • Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
