TECKpert seeks to hire a Senior Software Engineer to support our client, a government agency based in Miami, FL. The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, deploy, monitor, maintain, and document custom enterprise IT systems. This role involves creating, maintaining, and upgrading technology solutions, ensuring software deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and enhance custom-developed solutions.
  • Manage the full software development lifecycle: analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Identify problems, develop solutions, and translate system requirements into work scopes.
  • Create specifications for new systems or improvements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, system analysis, and design evaluations.
  • Perform code reviews and testing processes.
  • Write clean, scalable code using .NET framework.
  • Develop unit and integration tests.
  • Implement security best practices.
  • Provide end-user training and system documentation.
  • Analyze system usage and plan for capacity growth.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
Compensation and Term

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position. Pay varies with experience up to $120,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire. Qualifications you need

A successful Senior Software Engineer possesses or provides the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in software development and system analysis.
  • Expertise in software development using C#, SQL, Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in web technologies: HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Blazor, Bootstrap.
  • Experience with ASP.NET, MVC, .NET Core, Azure Cloud services, MS SQL Server, SSRS, Power BI, Power Platform.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with data management.
  • Self-motivated, with strong customer service orientation.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative.
  • Knowledge of T-SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments.
  • Commitment to ethical behavior and attendance.
