Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role in Miami, FL for a Software Engineer/Developer at Velox Clearing. The role involves tasks related to computer science, back-end web development, software development, programming, and object-oriented programming (OOP).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions using compiled languages such as Java, GoLang, C++, and C#.
  • SDLC Management: Oversee and participate in all phases of the SDLC, ensuring the delivery of robust and scalable software solutions.
  • Change Management: Manage and implement software changes efficiently and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
  • Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software products.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software development processes, code, and system designs.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Software Engineer/Developer with a strong background in compiled languages such as Java, GoLang, C++, and C#.
  • 5-8 years experience in positions with increase in responsibilities
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in one or more compiled languages (Java, GoLang, C++, C#).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and software change management principles.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Familiarity with development tools and environments (e.g., IDEs, terminal commands).
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Understanding of web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
