Customer Service Representative

C.H. Thompson is currently seeking an enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to help us maintain our high standards of customer satisfaction. As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through a hands-on approach. Specifically, the role focuses on handling complex or high-priority customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions. Additionally, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to work alongside our Leadership Team, with a clear path for career advancement and professional growth.

C.H. Thompson is a premier one-stop-shop for all of your finishing needs. Our continuous focus on improving quality and increasing productivity has made CH Thompson Finishing a leader in the industry.
We offer several services including anodizing, painting, powder coating, intricate masking and silk screening, allowing us to provide multiple finishes on individual parts. We service a multitude of industries including; aerospace, agricultural, automotive, computer, electronics, household, industrial, medical and military. Our customer base ranges from small privately owned machine shops to top Fortune 500 companies such as Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics and BAE Systems.

Position Overview
- Customer Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Conflict Resolution: Handle escalated customer complaints and issues, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on customer service metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, production, and quality control teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Compliance: Ensure all customer service activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Relevant experience in metal finishing, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven Customer Service Experience required.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions in a professional way. Strong conflict resolution skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
- Organization: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in customer service software and CRM systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and read technical documents and blueprints.
- Quality Standards: Ensure all products and parts meet stringent quality standards.
Shift:
- Monday-Friday 6:30am-4:00pm
- Wage
- $20.00 - $24.00 per hour.
- Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience.
