Job Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide a mix of remote, local, and off-site professional services as a Project Engineer.

Our projects include a mix of design, procurement, deployment, & aftercare for specialized IT systems delivering video services. As our primary representative in the Chicago area, you will be responsible for servicing our customers there.

There are other projects in various stages around the US that would require some domestic travel. Most of the work performed will be remote & in the Chicago area.

This contract will last a minimum of 1 year.

How You'll Help us Succeed
•Stay Up to Date on the Latest IPTV/AV Video Technologies
•Manage Relationships with 3rd Party Technology Vendors
•Participate in Pre-Sales Meetings, Surveys, & Scoping
•Create As-build & Design Documentation & Diagrams
•Provide Detailed Weekly Reports of Activities, and Participate in Team Meetings
•Monitor and Manage IPTV network components, including switches, firewalls, servers, endpoints
•Support Necessary Upgrades, Fixes, and Maintenance of IPTV, AV, & Network Systems
•Provide Remote Technical & Operational Support
•Ability to Walk, Climb (Stairs/Ladders), Sit and Stand for Long Periods of Time, & Lift up to 50 lbs. Required Qualifications for Consideration
•Must Display Advanced Verbal, Written, & Organization Skills
•Associates Degree or Higher + 5 years in IPTV/AV-Related Field, or 10 Years of Professional Experience
•5 years of Practical Experience with Design, Management, or Support of IPTV/AV Technologies
•Some Experience with Swapping IT Hardware Components and Basic IT Hardware Troubleshooting
•Expertise with Microsoft Office Products, Networking Tools (Wireshark, etc.), and Windows Desktop/Linux Server Operating Systems (Centos Preferred) •Must Pass a Background Check
•Must be Located in the Chicago area, or Willing to Relocate to the Chicago area

•Experience with any of these Vendor Technologies: Tripleplay, Samsung, Brightsign, Avixa, Datapath, Minerva, Verimatrix, Innovative Systems, & MediaRoom
•Highly Motivated, with the Ability to Work & Learn Independently
•Familiar with Standard IT Concepts, Practices, & Procedures
•Strong Analytical & Troubleshooting Skills
•Networking & Network Security Certifications
