Who you are:

As a Mortgage Underwriter III your opinion matters. You will analyze balance sheets, income statements, and other financial information to determine the credit worthiness and financial conditions of mortgage customers. More than that, this role is about building relationships and providing top-quality service and doing so with integrity, caring, and excellence in mind.

What you'll do:
  • Work closely with sales staff to ensure mortgage consumers have appropriate credit documentation and to effectively mitigate losses
  • Provide consistent underwriting and documentation of files that comply with internal and external rules and regulations
  • Assist and support Mortgage Supervisor by developing ongoing training requirements for the Mortgage Underwriting team
  • Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of mortgage underwriting experience
  • Ability to underwrite loans using global cash flow models
  • Ability to source reasons for positive or negative trends within financial statements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
