Responsibilities:
- Lead all activity programs throughout the facility within established budgetary guidelines
- Promote positive relationships with individuals, businesses, and organizations in the community through outings and activities provided by volunteers
- Maintain the activities calendar of events to provide a variety of resident and family centered experiences
- Monitor and prepare the department budget and financial statements to meet revenue and budget targets
- Responsible for hiring, coaching and retaining a high performing activities team
- Abide by the standards identified in our Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2-3 years of experience
- Certified in the field of Therapeutic Activities or Activities preferred
- Must be able to work occasional weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Knowledge of special needs and limitations of elderly and disabled
- Knowledge of methods and techniques used to include residents and involve them in activities
- Must possess patience, compassion and excellent communication skills as well as a cheerful disposition
- Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation standards related to the provision of an Activities program
