Payroll Manager

Responsibilities:Oversee a one- to two-person team to ensure the timely preparation and processing of bi-weekly payrolls via WorkdayCollaborate with Human Resources and Payroll team to answer questions related to off cycle payroll requests, compensation changes, or benefits updatesCalculate quarterly or annual bonuses in coordination with Operations team and company managementUpdate and distribute scheduled payroll reports for management and operational reviewMaintain appropriate payroll records in accordance with company policies and proceduresOversee quarterly and year-end checklist in conjunction with third-party, ADP, to assist in preparation of quarterly and annual wage & tax filingsParticipate in worker’s compensation insurance, 401k, unemployment, and financial auditsRespond to direct report, other department, and management inquiries in a timely mannerAssist in identifying and implementing process efficienciesPerform ad-hoc analysis and other job-related duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:5+ years of payroll experienceBachelor’s degree in accounting, sciences, or related field preferred, but not requiredKnowledge of processing multi location payroll in system/ platform; Workday preferredAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretionStrong time management and organization skillsAttention to detail and high level of accuracyDeadline-orientedSelf-motivatedStrong work ethic and team playerEffective verbal and written communication skillsStrong PC and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience in a high-growth organization is a plus
