Director Of Sales & Marketing Role

The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and overseeing overall sales and marketing strategy, including advertising and public relations. With a comprehensive, experience-led understanding of the US education industry, they strategically drive sales and marketing initiatives leveraging brand and spearheading expansion into emerging markets. Overseeing a team of sales managers, they use data-driven strategies to set goals, track progress, and boost overall performance. Reporting to the CEO, they develop and oversee departmental systems to ensure customer satisfaction and team success.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Assign and monitor sales territories, target groups, and sales team quotas Prepare and submit plans, budgets, progress reports, and annual sales reports Maintain a deep understanding and conduct regular analysis of the education industry, market trends, competitors, and funding sources Develop and conduct sales campaigns, marketing initiatives, and promotional plans Manage HR functions within the sales department e.g., hiring, training, performance reviews, etc. Develop and oversee Regional Sales Managers' goals/objectives, projects, and priorities Perform duties of Regional Sales Managers, as relevant Act as company representative at trade conferences and conventions

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business, Business Administration, or related field (required) MBA or equivalent (preferred) 7+ years of sales experience (required) 3+ years' experience in the education industry (required) (ideally in the public school/CBO sector with familiarity with federal/state stimulus programs such as 21st CCLC, ELOP, ASES, etc.) Passion for education and fostering the joy of learning Ability to anticipate and approach all problems with a solutions-oriented mindset Ability to work independently, set priorities, manage time, and multi-task with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Strategic thinker able to manage competing priorities and interests simultaneously Demonstrate strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills Experience and proficiency with Google Workspace, Salesforce, and various marketing tools (i.e., MailChimp, Constant Contact, GMASS, etc.)
