We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to:
•Join the Vascular Surgery and Podiatry care team as they provide expert screening and treatment for a variety of conditions including peripheral venous disease, peripheral arterial disease, and compartment syndrome.
•Independently provide basic wound care and assist in advanced podiatric care to patients with complex vascular wounds.
•Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment.
•Participate in the ongoing education of our patients regarding lifestyle changes, wellness, and treatment plans.
Minimum Requirements:
Facility Requirement:
Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison
(address must be included in traveler's profile including resume/work experience, *** portal, all onboarding disclosures/questionnaires).
Experience:
Minimum
Two years' experience required as Certified Medical Assistant.
Traveler must have ambulatory or clinic experience including rooming patients and taking vitals.
Epic experience highly preferred.
Prior traveler experience highly preferred.
Licensure and Certification:
Certified as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or LPN.
BLS - must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or in lieu of the above requirements, two (2) years of recent Medical Assistant experience and current CMA, RMA or CCMA certification.
Reference
Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
Floating
Travelers are the first to float. The traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
Location: UW Health Clinic 1 South Park Street, Madison, WI (floating may be required to UW Health Junction Road and Arbor Gate as needed)

Shifts:
40 hrs/week, Days, 8 hr shifts, Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:45 am - 5:00 pm depending on clinic needs. No weekends, no holidays.
