Human Resources Coordinator

Compass Pointe has partnered with a global law firm in Washington, DC area that is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator. The coordinator is responsible for providing a combination of technical, administrative and project support to the HR team.
This role will be worked on a hybrid schedule in Washington, DC
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting with the administration of leave benefits.
Conducting, organizing, and executing the New Hire Orientation for professional staff hires.
Conducting employment verifications.
Facilitating HR internal communications, including developing information for HR efforts and projects.
Managing HR shared document workspace, including reporting, ad hoc projects, etc.
Partnering with peer departments such as HRIS, Information Technology, Finance & Accounting, etc. and coordinating on behalf of HR.
Facilitating and managing special projects, both internally and with peer departments.
Reviewing and analyzing data, including issue-spotting, and confirming report accuracy.
Reviewing all HR related e-bulletins/publications regarding employment law updates in all of the jurisdictions.
Submitting information for Unemployment Claims.
Completing the attorney/ARC ratios on a monthly basis.
Reviewing and updating the organizational charts on a weekly basis.
Responding to internal survey requests for staff headcount.
Assisting with Staff Appreciation Week and the Service Awards.
Assisting with ad-hoc projects concerning HR.
Assisting in the coordination of HR meetings and presentations.
Identifying and coordinating training opportunities, as necessary.
Performing a variety of administrative tasks and providing general support as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree required or equivalent experience.
Minimum of three years of administrative office experience in a professional services or corporate environment.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
Working knowledge of Smartsheets and Vizio a plus.
Experience working at a law firm or in a legal environment is highly desired
Demonstrate a high degree of trustworthiness in handling confidential and sensitive information.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with people at all levels within the Firm.
Must possess strong administrative and project management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team and has the ability to collaborate effectively across administrative departments in all offices.
Ability to build relationships and gain the trust of internal stakeholders and other administrative staff members.
Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to confidential information.
