Project Manager – Estimator We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager – Estimator to seek out new projects and oversee various existing projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for projects by gathering information and analyzing important metrics. Planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will provide knowledge of cost and benefits that support profitable business decisions. Responsibilities: Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work and project requirements. Perform detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for all trades and materials. Develop and maintain relationships with outside stakeholders such as contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure that inside stakeholders such as administrative staff understand contract terms. Prepare and present cost estimates and budgets to clients and stakeholders. Monitor project costs to ensure they align with budgets and forecasts. Assist in the preparation, or prepare new proposals and bid submissions. Work with Senior Leadership and Foreman to plan, organize, and direct activities within respective construction projects. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within company policy and contract specifications while ensuring projects are on schedule. Manage job files while ensuring accuracy and subcontractor compliance. Communicate with field workers to ensure they are in compliance with Company, client-required, State, Federal, and OSHA regulations/policies while investigating potentially serious situations and implementing corrective measures. Ensure Foreman and Superintendents are submitting all required documentation. Represent the company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. 5 years of related experience in the heavy construction industry. Proven working experience as a Project Manager – Estimator in the construction industry. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Proficient in the use of various project management and estimating software or tools. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking capabilities. Valid Driver’s License with an insurable driving record. Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. 10 years of related experience in the heavy construction industry. OSHA 10 hour certified. Class A or B CDL.
