Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Lead EHS Advisor

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and cascade standards, processes, and best practices, providing guidance and oversight to align with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and the company's risk tolerance.
  • Establish, develop, and communicate PSM systems and metrics for Operations; identifying trends to rationalize the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the risk is highest.
  • Support various Process Safety projects across operations, monitoring performance and resolution against large/complex open projects, risk mitigation efforts and audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement in process safety management by staying up to date on emerging technologies, industry advancements, and regulations.
  • Develop and deploy onboarding and training on process safety principles, practices, and responsibilities.
  • Develops and presents training on EHS subjects and loss prevention. Includes orientation and exempt training.
  • Maintains current technical expertise and knowledge of Federal, State and Local legislation affecting emergency response, and safety issues and advises management of compliance status and of conditions requiring attention.
  • Provides input to EHS Department budget and capital plan expenditures.
  • Conducts critical investigations resulting in root cause determination and response. Investigations may require the application of new approaches and methods in the field. Presents findings and recommendations to management.
MUST HAVEs:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or occupational safety and health
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security field.
  • Strong Process Safety Management (PSM) regulatory knowledge
  • Manufacturing, Engineering, Process Safety Management, and Operations experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Travel 0-10%
