• MUST HAVE CDL - Class B with air brakes and PS endorsement • Supervise/Manage and evaluate all drivers and monitors.
• Provide long-range planning for transportation department. • Participate in the development of implementations of updated training and information for drivers and monitors. • Determine the appropriateness of vehicle service requests and authorize work to be completed alongside Fleet Manager. • Maintain all necessary maintenance records for ALL vehicles alongside Fleet Manager. • Ensure that standards consistent with all applicable laws and regulations are maintained. (i.e COMAR) • Manage compliance of all safety regulations governing pupil transportation. (i.e COMAR) • Inspect all TDG vehicles on a regular basis to determine that high standards of cleanliness, safety, and security are maintained. • Supervise/Manage all bus drivers/monitors that have been recruited and continue training where you see fit. • Provide bus driver training to all bus drivers, in-service, renewal, and original training alongside GM/HR • Maintain driver’s records, schedule DOT physicals, and renewal appointments. (Fleetio/Google Sheets) • Provide in-service training programs for assigned personnel. (i.e Quarterly Safety Training) • Participate in the development of implementations of schedule, allot time, and assign driver personnel for all students including special education students’ transportation within the company. • Design and periodically revise bus schedules and routes according to fluctuations in the number of students. • Maintain and manage Bus List as assigned • Promptly resolves employee, parent and/or student transportation issues in a customer focused, responsive and professional manner. • Respond to and investigate accidents involving your employees and/or vehicles. • Respond to and investigate complaints regarding your assigned vehicles and student transportation. • Investigate and effectively resolve employee conduct problems in the workplace along with General Manager and/or Human Resource Manager. • Perform other duties as assigned.
