About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead the strategic development and execution of robust, scalable technology solutions that align with business objectives. This pivotal role involves overseeing a growing software engineering organization, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with the executive team to define and execute technology strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership, team management and development, technology vision, operational excellence, cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and legacy system modernization. Additionally, the role requires a strong background in web marketing and large agency environments to deliver custom advertising and marketing solutions.Applicants for the Vice President of Software Engineering position at the company should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with at least 12 years of experience in software development and a minimum of 5 years in a senior management or executive role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading and scaling software engineering teams, strong technical expertise in PHP, JavaScript, Python, cloud hosting, and containerization technologies, as well as experience in modernizing legacy systems. Marketplace experience is highly desired. The role requires excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and across a wide range of stakeholders.
