Job Description:

Fidelity Investments has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer in Test with strong software development talent. This individual will be responsible for crafting and developing test automation and in-house software utilities as part of the Quality Engineering organization within Fidelitys Workplace Investing division.

The Team

We are looking for a highly motivated professional with experience in Quality Engineering aspects of application delivery, working under Agile processes. The team provides CRM Solutions that enable thousands of Workplace Investing (WI) associates in the acquisition of new business and the daily support of our valued clients

The Expertise You Have
  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 6 years in Software Quality Engineering roles
  • Demonstrated programming skills in languages like Java and TypeScript
  • Experience with continuous integration practices and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Karate, and Playwright

The Purpose of Your Role
  • Contribute to the design phases of projects to ensure engineering solutions are automatable
  • Work with the team to identify suitable automation frameworks and develop automation tests
  • Actively participate in all Agile Ceremonies including Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, and Retrospective
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and business colleagues to define acceptance criteria for Stories
  • Analyze and report test results, project tracking and product release readiness to business partners

Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
