Position Description:

Modernizes and builds innovative and Cloud-native experiences, software applications, and platforms. Designs and builds large scale full-stack applications using Java, Tomcat, Spring Boot, Angular, Node, and JavaScript. Integrates with Service Oriented Architecture (REST) using tools such as Express, Node, SpringBoot, and Dropwizard. Develops end-to-end DevSecOps automation with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines -- unit, component, functional, performance, and security test automation -- to support possible data scenarios.\u00A0 Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and maintaining customer facing Web applications and services in a financial or retail services environment.

Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or related occupation) designing, developing, and maintaining customer facing Web applications and services in a financial or retail services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (\u201CDE\u201D) analyzing, designing, developing, and testing scalable Cloud based full-stack software applications, using Angular, JavaScript, Java, and Spring boot; building, deploying, and running applications on Cloud platforms Amazon Web Services (AWS); and configuring continuous build and automated deployments using Jenkins.
  • DE performing Big Data Engineering -- designing, developing, and testing distributed, scalable, big data processing, and near real-time analytics platforms, solutions, and data pipelines, and streaming data lakes for on-premises, AWS Cloud environments -- using Java, Python, Spring Web and Boot, and AWS services -- VPC, ECS, Lambda and Amazon Elastic Load balancing.
  • DE building, deploying, and running secure Cloud-native applications using AWS core services -- EC2, S3, and RDS; building, deploying, and running Cloud container platforms, using Docker and ECS; performing configuration management using Cloud Formation; and building log aggregating dashboards using Splunk.
  • DE designing, developing, and containerizing monolith applications to Spring Boot based microservices using AWS; rearchitecting and migrating on-premise applications to Cloud native infrastructure for building scalable applications according to Agile development methodologies using EKS.
