Quality Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support direct reports to meet daily and strategic business goals, ensuring smooth operation of the inspection department.
  • Oversee the review of upcoming final inspections.
  • Ensure full utilization of all CMM machines.
  • Prepare for initial piece inspections.
  • Implement operator floor inspection sheets, working with supervisors to ensure accurate and timely completion of required measurements.
  • Review and provide feedback on CMM programs.
  • Manage the workload of direct reports and set clear expectations for deliverables.
  • Ensure all inspection data and documentation are completed to facilitate efficient data package development and part shipment.
  • Develop AQL plans across split lots of part numbers to streamline the inspection process.
  • Oversee the proper management of gauges throughout the shop.
  • Enforce "clean as you go" requirements and standardization.
  • Conduct annual reviews for direct reports, providing actionable feedback on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities for improvement, and development plans.
  • Hold team members accountable for expected outcomes and develop performance improvement plans as needed, addressing performance, quality, attendance, and adherence to plant rules.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and all training requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

A) Education and Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in Quality Control
  • Experience in CMM Programming
  • Experience with GD&T

B) Personal Skills/Attributes:

  • Accurate, conscientious, and detail-oriented.
  • Responsible and follows through on tasks.
  • Professional, able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Flexible and willing to take on new tasks as requested.
