Its message is based on the Bible.Its ministry is motivated by the love of God.Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma/GED requiredMinimum 1-year basic custodian experience helpfulMust have ability to work independently with minimal supervisionFamiliarity of Material Safety Data SheetsAble to read/understand/follow labels & directionsWorking knowledge of cleaning equipmentAble to interact professionally with individuals having a diverse background Successful background clearanceRESPONSIBILITIES:Offices/Board Room/Classrooms/SS Lobby & EntranceDust all office furniture and surfaces - Desks, cabinets, shelves, phones, light fixtures, ceiling vents, computer, monitor and desktop printersEmpty trash and recycle, take to designated areaWipe and clean chairsClean glass doors, windows, and handlesVacuum carpetsSweep dust and mop floorsDust blindsDisinfect, dust, spot clean light switches, walls, and wood doorsClean and sanitize drinking fountainsBreakroom/KitchenetteDust and wipe tables, cabinets, sink and countertops, TVClean and disinfect chairsClean inside and outside of microwaveDisinfect, dust, spot clean light switches, walls, and wood doorsClean exterior of refrigerator, wipe inside as neededEmpty trash and recycle take to designated areaVacuum couchSweep and mop floorRestrooms- Upstairs (3) and (2) Downstairs-Office Side Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, urinals dispensers and fixturesClean tile walls and stall partitionsClean mirrors, chrome fixturesSweep and mop floorsRestock products as needed (toilet paper, towels, soap)ElevatorVacuum, polish and disinfect interior and exterior elevatorExterior GroundsRemove trash, debris from entire perimeter of buildingMiscellaneousMaintenance (light bulbs, air filters, unclog toilets, touch up paint) as requestedClean Metro stairwells and railingDump ash tray urnsClean and sanitize drinking fountainsClean and sanitize trash cansAssist with landscaping exterior grounds and parking lot between landscape company visitsPower wash sidewalks, patio decks, front lobbyReport maintenance issues and supply needs to SupervisorAttend all staff meetingsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms.The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.A qualified person with a disability may request a modification or adjustment to the job or work environment in order to meet the physical requirements of the position.The Salvation Army will attempt to satisfy requests as long as the accommodation needed is reasonable and no undue hardship would result.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
