Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Purchasing Manager is responsible for the overall strategic management of purchasing activities, processes and procedures, and manages supply chain operations to maximize efficiency and minimize cost of the organization's purchased materials. This position oversees staff and systems in the purchasing activities across American Trim sites.

Job Responsibilities:

Purchasing and Logistics Organizational Design

Strategy Leader for all purchasing functions across American Trim sites. Leads negotiations, LTA's, contracts, buy agreements for all production commodities. Develops and leads managed systems that enables tracking and equalization of purchase price variance for all commodities related to quote, price changes, and metal price changes. Aligns goals and functions of the purchasing department based on corporate inventory needs and sales projections. Analyzes current purchasing and supply chain systems and processes to develop best business practices. Collaborates with production control and manufacturing to develop metrics for gauging inventory levels. Develops profitable ways to manage obsolete and slow moving stock to help offset losses. Manages relationships, contracts, strategy, and capacity to meet plant needs with critical supply base vendors Monitors Customer Directed Sources in regards to price to quote, inventory, capacity, delivery, quality, and inventories. Carries out supervisory/managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. American Trim does not anticipated providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-18 status).
