Passion for our mission and vision is required Responsibilities: Coordinate daily execution of scheduled and unscheduled integration tasks to ensure operational performance expectations and metrics (e.g., technical dispatch reliability, daily completion rates, etc.) and completion of all scheduled and unscheduled work scope, in accordance with Blue Origin's documented Policies and procedures. Directly lead manufacturing engineers and ensure control in command and control of overall production. Ensure adequate resources of properly trained and qualified personnel are available for all integration activities. Ensure personnel attend and complete scheduled training to expand personnel skill levels, and ensure training is current prior to performing the functions and tasks of their position. Champion and promote a safety and compliance first culture. Participate and support Production system self-audits and corrective actions, as required. Maintain operational engagement and motivate team members to deliver optimal operational performance and quality. Interface and communicate with other Blue Origin departments and business units to ensure mutual success on mission objectives. Ensure the quality and cost effectiveness of all work performed by the manufacturing engineering teams. Assist with authoring procedural manuals and defined processes. Coordinate with other NG production leaders to assure a unified organization. Actively participate in your team's annual, mid-Year reviews and Calibration sessions. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering. 10+ direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience. Required (5) Years of prior Technical Management/supervisory experience (aerospace, commercial aircraft, military aircraft, or Marine). Practical experience with avionics, structures, and powerplant/engines avionics and hardware systems. (Marine, commercial aircraft, military aircraft, or space vehicle). Strong safety record and mindset, including hands-on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations and tests. Strong personnel, scheduling, planning, and project management skills. Proficiency in interpreting engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures. Travel periodically (Less than 10%). Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion, including mentoring direct reports. Perform other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission and vision. Work off-shift, extended hours, and weekends when necessary. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Must be able to gain U.S. Space force DBIDS access credentials. Desired: Familiar working knowledge of FAA CFR's, industry best practices, OSHA requirements. Experience developing, writing, and updating operating procedures. Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, MSG-3, 5-S, FMEA, PRA, and lean process awareness. Experience with aerospace vehicle systems and manufacturing technologies. Advanced degree, certification, and/or training in a directly related field. Experience working in a product design or manufacturing environment. Experience in new or startup operational environments. Proficiency in business and engineering software (i.e. MSOffice, Windchill, PLM, etc). Experience with critical operations where real-time decision-making affects success criteria.
