Rental Housing Customer Service Representative

Description Leidos is seeking full-time Rental Housing Customer Service Representatives at the FHA Resource Center in Indianapolis, IN. (There is an opportunity for telework after training upon performance and customer approval.)Our Leidos Customer Service team supports the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Single-Family Housing in their Mission to create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all.As a Customer Service Representative, you will assist renters, tenants, and property managers by providing resources and referrals to meet their rental needs.You may also assist homebuyers and homeowners with requests related to purchasing and owning a home.This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge of HUD rental assistance programs and to learn about FHA Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage programs through ongoing training while delivering excellent customer service to connect others with program resources.What’s in it for you?Monday - Friday schedule with no weekend workAccess to benefits on day one including medical and dental insurance, 401K, Life, AD&D, Voluntary Disability plansImmediate and ongoing training to support your successDiscounted Leidos stock purchase and other Employee DiscountsCompany-wide career mobility Company-sponsored Public Trust eligibility upon hireEligibility for a $3,000 referral bonusVoluntary overtime may be available based on business needsPaid Time Off (PTO) accrued based on Leidos policy, up to 15 days a year10 paid holidays per yearRental Housing Opportunities available: Full-time (32 - 40 hours a week)Part-time (25 - 31 hours a week)11:35 am – 8:05 pm ET in Indianapolis, IN (subject to change based on customer needs) Opportunities for split shifts, upon approval of the managerBilingual (Spanish & English)As a Rental Housing Customer Service Representative, you will:Field phone calls on multifamily rental assistance requests including tenant complaints, in accordance with standard operating procedures.Provide information and resources to customers to deliver customer service excellence.Use knowledge base and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to answer customer requests.Document customer phone communications in an internal database.To be a successful Rental Housing Customer Service Representative, you will possess:The capability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications, and utilize search tools to provide information to our clientsExcellent time management skills and dependabilityExperience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Teams)Strong written and verbal communication skills including telephone etiquetteKeyboarding proficiency of at least 40 words per minuteRequired Qualifications:High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificateMinimum of 2 years of property management experience Minimum of 1 year of contact center experience or telephone customer service experience.Ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, which includes a credit check and background investigationPreferred Qualifications:Bilingual (English and Spanish), verbal and writtenExperience with HUD-subsidized multifamily apartments or public housingCall Center (Omnichannel)Leidos is a global leader providing solutions to make the world safer, healthier, and more efficient through technology, engineering, and science.
