What's your day like?

As the Corporate Accountant at Walker Products Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our General Ledger. Your responsibilities will encompass performing month and year-end closings, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements. This dynamic role will also involve filing tax reports, monitoring job costing, and providing financial insights for our annual budget. You'll collaborate closely with the Director of Finance to analyze financial data and present key findings to management. Additionally, you will prepare daily financial and production reports, offer accounting support to various departments and projects, and serve as backup for Accounts Payable and Receivable.

Your adaptability and problem-solving skills will be essential in this evolving role.

Successful candidates for the Corporate position at Walker Products Inc. will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business. Proficiency in Excel or similar spreadsheet software is essential for this role. The ability to analyze data accurately, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills are crucial for maintaining the General Ledger effectively.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business required.
  • Proficiency with Excel or similar spreadsheet software required.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred.
  • Experience in cost accounting is preferred.
