IT Intern

Summary

Husky is looking for a summer intern in our IT department. Our ideal candidate is someone who is working towards and IT degree and looking for summer work. While below are a list of tasks you might be working on we understand an ideal candidate will not have the knowledge in all the areas listed below.

Desktop Support

• Provide primary help desk and desktop support to all users.
• Document and track all user support request, calls, and emails.
• Install new, approved hardware and software for users as well as handle equipment refreshes.
• Setup and assign new VOIP phones for users and within web console.
• Educate users on the proper usage of company hardware and applications.
• Maintain and update inventory and utilization records of software and hardware resources.

Network Administration

• Provide basic troubleshooting of networking issues, including DHCP, DNS, etc.
• Basic administration of all mac filtering list (LAN, wireless, etc.).
• Responsible for upkeep of all network documentation.
• Troubleshoot possible network issues affecting end users and be able to supply troubleshooting details to an escalated resource.
  

Systems Support

• Create new user accounts within Active Directory, SharePoint, Office 365, Exchange, and other company applications.
• Maintain Group Policies at the desktop and user level.
• Create and update documentation related to change management and processes.
• Enforce corporate security standards at the desktop and user level.
• Basic administration of web applications. i.e. User administration of SharePoint.

PREFFERED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of IBM iSeries or AS/400
