Your primary responsibility will be to compellingly convey how our solutions can address their specific needs and drive meaningful improvements in the education landscape.Key Responsibilities:- Manage a sales territory and assigned quota within a portfolio of large school districts.- Establish and cultivate relationships with district and state education leaders across the country.- Develop a deep understanding of our education technology solutions and services to effectively communicate their value proposition.- Confidently present our products and services, both in-person and virtually, to education stakeholders, showcasing their ability to address specific needs and challenges.- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify unique pain points and requirements, aligning our offerings accordingly.- Build strong partnerships with education administrators, demonstrating our commitment to supporting their educational missions.- Identify and pursue new client opportunities within your assigned school districts, leveraging your understanding of the education landscape and our solutions.- Maintain a well-organized sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and progression through the sales process.- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and policy changes to inform your sales approach and maintain a competitive edge.- Collaborate with the sales team and leadership to develop and execute effective sales strategies tailored to each school district's unique needs.- Provide regular reports on sales activities, progress, and achievements, contributing to the company's growth and strategic discussions.- Act as a conduit for customer feedback, ensuring insights from the field are shared with product and marketing teams to continuously improve our offerings.- Be willing to travel to meet with clients and attend relevant conferences and events, as needed.Our Ideal Candidate:- 5+ years of experience in a closing sales role with a proven track record of exceeding goals and quotas.- Ability to travel at least 25-40% to represent the company at conferences, present to district meetings, and build relationships within your territory.- Demonstrated success with a consultative sales mindset and experience presenting virtually and in-person across various stakeholders.- Expertise in preparing client-facing materials (proposals, email communication, etc.).- Strong ability to steer conversations, overcome objections, and solve problems in the moment.- Excellent synthesizing skills to connect information gathered through research and conversation to potential solutions.- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects with competing timelines.Bonus Points:- Experience working in a school or district office, with an understanding of the challenges faced by teachers, principals, and district administrators.- Proficiency in sales tools like Salesforce and Outreach.io.This is a remote opportunity, with the flexibility to work from anywhere within the continental United States.
