This role will report directly to the Director of Finance and be part of a talented and collaborative finance team.

Role Details:

  • Work Hours: Core business hours are 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
You will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the company. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • The Senior Accountant will oversee and manage a team of junior accountants.
  • They will lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and approve invoices and expense reports.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Position Qualifications:

  • Must-Have for the Senor Accountant:
    • The Senior Accountant will be expected to have extensive experience in accounting and financial management.
    • Strong proficiency in advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
    • Experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Excellent organizational and team management skills.
  • Plus for the Senior Accountant:
    • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
    • CPA certification.
