Director, Brand Strategy & Partnerships

Position Overview

True Classic is seeking an exceptional leader to manage & grow the True Classic brand. This role will focus on team building and leadership, managing strategy, partnerships, and organic social media. This position reports directly to the Head of Marketing.

Key Areas of Accountability
  1. Team Leadership: Hire, develop, and motivate both internal team members and external partners (e.g., agencies, consultants, SaaS partners, etc.) to foster a collaborative work environment and deliver exceptional business results.
  2. Brand Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy, focusing on visual identity, brand voice, and positioning to grow True Classic's brand equity. Ensure consistent brand messaging and identity across all touchpoints and channels.
  3. Brand Partnerships: Establish and manage strategic partnerships with other brands, creators, publications, and influencers to enhance True Classic's brand presence and reach. Negotiate and oversee partnership agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  4. Organic Social Media: Oversee True Classic's presence on all organic social media channels (eg Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, etc.), ensuring engaging and consistent content that drives brand awareness and community growth. Develop and execute social media strategies that align with the broader brand goals and objectives.
  5. Influencers: Identify, engage, and collaborate with influencers to amplify True Classic's brand message and reach new audiences. Develop and execute influencer marketing campaigns that align with brand objectives, ensuring authenticity and alignment with True Classic's values. Monitor and analyze influencer partnerships to measure their impact and optimize future collaborations.
Key Areas of Cross-Functional Collaboration
  1. Marketing Analytics: Leverage robust analytics and reporting to uncover trends and deliver actionable insights, enhancing both brand strategy and social media performance through collaboration with the analytics team.
  2. Marketing Technology: Evaluate and integrate marketing technology tools that improve campaign efficiency, customer targeting, personalized messaging, and marketing automation in close collaboration with the tech team.
  3. Product Development & Marketing: Collaborate closely with the product team to identify new product opportunities and craft compelling narratives that resonate with our audience, elevating True Classic's market presence.
  4. Commercial: Partner with the commercial team to identify and leverage marketing programs to grow across sales channels and countries, focusing on both brand building and ongoing customer engagement.
  5. FP&A: Provide strategic insights to the finance team to enhance brand strategy and optimize marketing efficiency, informing financial forecasting and business goal setting to support sustainable growth.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of marketing experience with a proven track record in a senior leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Familiarity with e-commerce, direct-to-consumer brands, and omnichannel retail is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate deep consumer insights into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the ability to drive ideas from concept to completion quickly, overcome obstacles, and multitask across multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit; willing to roll up sleeves and do whatever it takes to achieve the best results and win as a team.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing marketing teams; strong leadership abilities including mentoring, coaching, and inspiring teams.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change effectively.
