So, what does a Silvi Materials Assistant Credit/ Collection Manager do? You'll be an integral part of our AR/Accounting Team

  • Responsible for the assisting the credit manager with the daily management of past due accounts receivable and credit functions.
  • Must have a full understanding of Credit / AR department procedures to resolve issues in AR managers absence.
  • Works with the Credit Manager to achieve established goals for accounts receivable, cash collections and outstanding client balances.
  • Manage aging report through consistent contact with over-due customers via both phone and e-mail.
  • Supervises credit memo / dispute process by working with sales and billing clerks to gather information and draft memorandums in a timely manner.
  • Assists Credit Manager with aging clean-up for monthly closing schedule.
  • Manage clerical positions for credit application processing, remote bank deposits, and cash posting.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field.
  • At least 3 years experience in accounting, preferably in AR/Credit/Collections and preferably additional experience.
  • Experience in construction, concrete, and/or manufacturing highly preferred but not required.
  • Thrives in a fast paced and high volume environment.
  • Must show a proven track record for achieving month end goals & meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (preferably Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding relationship skills as well as customer service and team building skills.
