Assist out of town Delivery Driver in loading and unloading supplies, machines, and furniture while ensuring deliveries are completed in a timely manner. As needed, deliver supplies and furniture to customers. Supervise all furniture installations. Coordinate with furniture/machine purchasing and sales staff for delivery to customers. Assist other locations with furniture installations when schedule allows. Prepare quotes for salespeople and customers for providing operational services, encompassing labor rates, limitations, and time framework for delivery. Field phone calls from sales pertaining to installations and delivery. WAREHOUSE: Work with sales and purchasing to coordinate manpower for receiving large and/or off-site loads. Work closely with Regional Sales Manager for smooth operation of department. Provide training for new Shipping/Receiving personnel with Store Manager. Develop and implement ongoing training for Shipping/Receiving personnel with Regional Sales Manager. Day to day oversight of drivers and installation personnel with Regional Sales Manager. Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse. ORDERING: Order replacement parts for damaged furniture or shortages. PERSONNEL: Effectively supervise personnel for optimum performance and compliance with company and departmental policies and procedures. Manage and delegate personnel to perform various Shipping/Receiving duties, including assembly for floor, storing merchandise, trash pick-up, and installation of furniture. Process personnel documentation according to established guidelines and time frames. Create and maintain a good working relationship with sales. MISCELLANEOUS: Monitor and ensure service and maintenance of company vehicles. Coordinate cleaning of store/warehouse work area. Oversee furniture repair process. Maintain the good operation of warehouse and delivery equipment, dollies, tools, etc. OTHER DUTIES AS MAY BE ASSIGNED Qualifications High School education or equivalent desirable 1-year warehouse experience preferred Computer experience desirable Other Good verbal and written communication skills Good customer relation skills Accuracy skills Good mechanical aptitude Valid Driver's License and good driving record Ability to drive vans/straight trucks and manual transmission Ability to lift 100 pounds repeatedly during the work day Ability to lift heavier objects with cart and/or assistance Ability to assemble and install furniture in customer facilities Job Type: Full-time
