OVERVIEW OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

  • The Staff Accountant will prepare and post journal entries, and manage aspects of month-end and quarter-end close.
  • Assist in preparing annual operating budgets and forecasts, and monitor actual performance against the budget.
  • The Staff Accountant will produce semi-annual statements for donors and prepare monthly account reconciliations.
  • Input contributions and invoices into the accounting database and prepare necessary reports and statements.
  • Reconcile various financial accounts and assist with data entry tasks.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • 3+ years General Accounting
