**Logistics and Transportation - Bellingham, MA - Full Time**

* Responsible for maintaining the highest optimal use of company delivery resources and third-party logistics providers/ contracted personnel in order to achieve the lowest possible delivery cost in all the markets where we provide delivery.

* Create and maintain routing and sequencing for all customers in all markets where United East delivers product.

* Work closely with shipping to ensure that staged orders are properly labeled and loaded onto correct delivery vehicles.

* Supervise local delivery drivers operating out of the Attleboro/Bellingham warehouse. Review electronic delivery tracking maps daily to check driver performance.

* Make sure that all company delivery vehicles are kept clean and coordinate all scheduled maintenance with leasing company (Ryder).

* Hire, coach, develop, train, and supervise delivery drivers and address performance issues in a timely manner with a particular focus on safe driving practices and continuous improvement

* Review mileage and gas records of delivery drivers

* Daily review and approval of employee timesheets

* Inspect delivery trucks

* Review LTL and FedEx data daily, ensuring continuous push for lowest cost service

* Work with customers and internal personnel to address delivery-related issues in a professional and effective manner

* Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing and product mixes or volumes

* Foster positive relations and communications and conduct oneself in a professional manner with third party partners, contractors, vendors, co-workers, other departmental staff in Warehouse, Sales, Purchasing, Finance and Management.

* Taking proper care of all company issued tools and equipment

* Attend required safety and product training

* Adhere to all company safety standards and protocols

* Must be able to lift 30 pounds on a regular and frequent basis

* Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Windows applications

* Capable of using a lift truck to load and unload large pieces of equipment

* Able to work independently and be self-motivated to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision

* Supervisory skills

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

* Knowledgeable regarding OSHA regulations

* Above average math skills

* Ability to work in a warehouse environment where fluctuating temperatures may exist between hot and cold

* Prior experience managing to a budget

* Prior management experience with departments of more than 20 employees

* Proven decision-making abilities

* Ability to use hand-held scanning devices

* Ability to use fork Lift machine

* Exposure to LEAN process and methodology

* 5+ years warehouse experience

* 2 years Warehouse Supervisor experience

* 1 year using MS Office Suite

* Experience working in a shipping, receiving, or inventory control environment

* Tow motor training

* Ability to successfully pass a background check

* May be asked to perform a drug test for specific positions

* Must be a legal citizen or otherwise permitted to legally work in the US without sponsorship
