Growing together.As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing support to clients and the clinical staff.Primary Responsibilities: Providing reception and clerical support in the clinic's front office Scheduling appointments, taking messages, and responding to the needs of patients and callers Assist with new clients (explain paperwork, verify completion, signatures & consents, obtaining insurance information, and completion, signatures & consents, obtaining insurance information, and input face sheets) Schedule new clients appropriately according to staff qualifications and insurance requirements, then send text messages/emails to patients regarding upcoming appointments and canceled/rescheduled appointments Process payments for co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, self-pay, and missed appointments fees Secure patient information and maintain patient confidentiality You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: HS diploma/GED 1+ years in office environment, preferably in mental health or medical setting Preferred Qualifications: Basic understanding of medical terminology Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs) Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical staff Ability to work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
