We're seeking a future team member for the role of SVP - Sanctions Compliance & Controls to join our Global Sanctions Compliance team. This role is located in New York, NY - HYBRID.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Lead in the development of a list governance framework and provide oversight of First Line of Defense list maintenance controls.
  • Review and validate test plans and false positive mitigation rules and suppression logic developed by Sanctions Operations and Engineering to ensure rules are designed effectively.
  • Maintain an inventory of global, local and internal sanctions screening lists and these lists are applied consistent with the Firm's policy and meets regulatory screening requirements.
  • Validate data lineage testing of sanctions screening systems with up/down stream applications consistent with NYDFS 504 requirements.
  • Develop centralized framework for sanctions screening of prohibited securities data and advise on data quality issues.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher accreditation
  • 7-10+ years of sanctions compliance experience with an emphasis on sanctions screening technology and list management.
  • Knowledge of Lexis Nexis Bridger and Fircosoft screening systems are a plus.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $98,000 and $166,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
