Key responsibilities include monitoring clinic schedules, greeting and guiding patients to their examination room, and collecting pertinent medical information for their health records. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to obtain Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification within 2 years of hire BLS certification or certification within orientation period. Excellent customer service skills Accurate record keeping Experience working with EMR (Epic preferred) One year of clinical experience in Optometry/Ophthalmology Preferred Qualifications: Certified Paraoptometic Assistant (CPOA) credential One of the following: JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) If selected for hire, compensation and job classification will be individually determined based on a candidate's specific background, including licensure, certifications, and experience level.
