Overview: Cyber Defense Technologies (CDT) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated mid-level Security Architect to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. The ideal candidate will work with internal team members to ensure the systems are functional, secure, and scalable. The systems and networks developed will be used to collect and process data and improve the customer's security infrastructure.

Clearance Requirements: An active Secret clearance is required. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed security architecture that includes layered defenses and multiple levels of security controls. Ensure these architectures are adaptable and flexible to accommodate future business and technology changes.
  • Responsible for cyber threat identification, evaluation, prioritization, controls implementation and remediation activities
  • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with internal and external regulations and standards. Conduct periodic security audits and reviews.
  • Continuously review and propose changes to systems, networks, and software designs.
  • Analyzing logging and alerting data, identifying, and escalating potential security events.
  • Partner with business user to support the intergradation of cybersecurity protection into business operations.
  • Act as the key member of the incident response team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Experience with data security administration principles, methods and techniques.
  • In-depth understanding of TCP/IP protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, particularly Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • Familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred Certifications: CISSP, RHCSA, RHCE, MCTS, MCSA, CISM
