Position: Human Resource Manager - Manufacturing Responsibilities: Oversee intricate employee relations matters, conducting thorough fact-finding meetings as necessary. Offer guidance and support to site managers in performance management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions. Provide counsel to site managers regarding compensation matters such as promotions, merit increases, adjustments, and bonuses. Maintain a deep understanding of legal requirements pertinent to employee management and record-keeping, minimizing legal risks and ensuring compliance. Interpret and communicate HR policies effectively to ensure understanding and adherence. Collaborate with managers and the talent acquisition team to devise and execute effective talent acquisition strategies aimed at attracting a diverse range of qualified candidates. Identify training needs and formulate plans to address skill gaps. Oversee the process for employee leave of absence and return to work. Stay informed about company benefits programs and provide guidance to employees in collaboration with the Benefits Team. Foster positive relationships with local union leadership and committees and administer collective bargaining agreements. Participate in labor proceedings, including grievance meetings, labor-management discussions, and bargaining sessions. Drive the entire grievance process effectively. Work alongside the Talent Acquisition Team to manage high-volume hourly recruiting. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field; advanced degree in Labor Relations or Human Resources preferred. Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR are a plus. Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in Labor Relations, including handling union grievances and participating in arbitration and contract negotiations. Manufacturing experience. Experience in high-volume full-cycle talent acquisition. Required Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in various HR disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee/labor relations, diversity, and performance management. Knowledge of US labor and employment laws. Skill in interpreting labor contract language and drafting bargaining proposals and agreements. Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information. Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities. Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective time management skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines. Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving. Current member of the CPS, Inc. Recruitment Team.
