HIL Validation Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for executing, defining and automating test procedures for Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulators. As a validation engineer, you will work as a member of the HIL Engineering team.
Responsibilities

Responsible for executing test procedures for Hardware-in-loop (HIL) simulators
Executes a variety of system tests to ensure functional quality of the HIL system
Reviews test specifications and documents issues/recommendations
Creates test procedures based on technical specifications and updates procedures based on changing requirements.
Participates in debugging with hardware and application engineers to identify production, system, or application issues
Meets deadlines for system testing and delivery
Communicates, coordinates, and consults with hardware and application engineering and project managers
Supports other engineers with specialized testing needs
Your profile

B.S in Engineering, or A.S with equivalent work experience
Prior experience in test equipment electrical/electronic design a bonus
Good communication skills, ability to work well in a team
Very systematic approach, attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills
A willingness to learn and the desire to be challenged
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software
Ability to apply understanding of automotive engineering terms
Ability to work independently with specific direction and make decisions based on general practices and procedures
