Overview:

The Community Engagement Supervisor will represent UF Health St. Johns in the community and implement on-going awareness about the mission, work, and opportunities provided by the Community Health Improvement department. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, strategic planning, and deep knowledge of community health and homelessness issues. The Community Engagement Supervisor will be responsible for managing the ongoing enhancement of program operations, ensuring effective implementation of initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery. The ideal candidate will be a strong public presence and an influential voice, driving awareness and action to address social health disparities and homelessness in our community. Additionally, the Supervisor will provide leadership for the Continuum of Care team, housing team and the Network Partnerships and Expansion Lead.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize deep knowledge of community health and homelessness issues to inform program development and execution.
  • Represents UF Health St. Johns and the Community Health Improvement department to stakeholders, community partners, business groups, civic groups, etc. to maintain visibility and involvement in the community.
  • Monitors and evaluate the effectiveness of program initiatives, collect feedback from communitymembers, and analyze data to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborates with other leadership to ensure a unified approach to all community health improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrates and sets the standard for effective communication and the motivation of others and observes and coaches staff in performance of duties and interpersonal interactions.
  • Identify gaps in services and develop strategies to address these gaps, including resource allocation and partnership building.
  • Stay informed about local, regional, and national issues that affect the community and identify opportunities for the
    organization to take a proactive role in addressing those challenges.
  • Maintain accountability for achieving program goals and objectives, adhering to organizational standards and regulatory
    requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships to foster community trust and support.
  • Identify community needs and concerns through regular interaction and feedback, ensuring these are communicated to the
    relevant internal teams for action and response.
  • All other duties as assigned by department.


Qualifications:

Education / Training

  • Bachelors Degree in Public Health or related field.

Experience Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years Dealing with Vulnerable Populations/Community Engagement

Preferences:
Supervisory experience for a non-profit organization.
