Overview:

Premier America Credit Union is looking to hire an Operational Risk & Continuity Specialist. The role supports the Operational Risk Management Department in the Credit Union's achievement of operational and strategic initiatives. Works with the VP, Operational Risk Management in the implementation of new programs, improvements to existing programs, and organization in planning and production of risk and compliance management activities that support the Credit Union strategic direction. Participates in the progress, improvement, execution, and administration of policies, strategies and business goals. Provides oversight for the organization's compliance, business resumption planning, vendor management, and workplace security program.

Maintains a high degree of integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy of information Stay abreast of new developments and technologies related to disaster recovery and business continuity through training and webinars. Oversee the administration of contingency plan integration and operation by BCP Managers and respective areas. Assist in the creation and administration of training and awareness presentations or materials. Work with BCP Managers to develop disaster recovery plans for physical locations with critical assets such as data centers. Assist in the development of emergency management plans for recovery decision making and communications, continuity of critical departmental processes, or temporary shut-down of non-critical departments to ensure continuity of operation and governance. Assist BCP Managers in establishing, maintaining, or testing call trees to ensure appropriate communication during disaster. Maintain current and accurate BCP Manager List. Work with Information Technology to maintain and update organization information technology applications and network systems blueprints. Recommend or implement methods to monitor, evaluate, or enable resolution of safety, operations, or compliance interruptions. Assist in testing documented disaster recovery strategies and plans. Write reports to summarize testing activities, including descriptions of goals, planning, scheduling, execution, results, analysis, conclusions, and recommendations. Assist in creating scenarios to re-establish operations from various types of business disruptions. Identify opportunities for strategic improvement or mitigation of business interruption and other risks caused by business, regulatory, or industry-specific change initiatives. Coordinate efforts to maintain risk assessment cycles current and complete. Assist in developing, maintaining, and continually improving key aspects of an ERM program, such as enterprise risk reporting (board level reporting), risk identification and measurement, and enterprise issue management. Assist in ensuring business units are following established policies and procedures relating to vendor management. Monitor critical vendors and provide annual reporting to senior management and the Board as requested. Ensure adequate pre- and post-due diligence is conducted by business units and appropriately documented in the vendor management system. Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with area team members and with management: a) Assist other team members as needed; b) Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned, including lead and/or participate in special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required. Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with team members and management.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For: Three (3) to six (6) years of progressive experience in a risk and compliance position at a financial institution. Experience should include compliance, vendor management, fraud, and physical security. Associate or Bachelor degree preferred. Financial institution compliance certification or completion of certification within one year of hire date. Strong analytical skills, and the ability to conduct thorough research and to interpret and understand laws and regulations. Process oriented, well organized and able to work independently. Detail oriented in order to generate accurate and precise work. Ability to work across organizational lines to foster teamwork, trust, and quality execution. Flexible and can work in a changing environment independently and in a team. Ability to set goals for multiple assignments, prioritizes tasks effectively, and manages time to fulfill commitment with excellent follow through. Detail-oriented, energetic, motivated, and action oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Cooperative, willing, and able to assist others. Knowledge of applicable state and federal financial institution laws and regulations. Knowledge of the third-party risk management due diligence. Knowledge of financial institution fraud prevention and security best practices. Broad knowledge of, and practical experience with, financial institution operating areas, functions, products and services. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

:

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all our job postings regardless of State. We set standard pay ranges for all roles based on function and level of expertise, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is: $80k-$98k annually.
